Meet the Team

Ken Stabler

I've been involved in the trucking business all my life. I knew from a very young age that it was what I was made for. I started driving with my Dad when I was in my teens and as soon I got my chauffeurs license at 18, I got my first truck driving job working for Dale Fellman Feeds in Miles City, MT where I worked for two years. I went to work for Jerry Singleton Trucking and Ray Jerrel Inc. before I went into business for myself in 1989 and have been self-employed since.

I served as Youth Director at Grace Bible Church under Pastor Jerry Coon in Miles City, MT from 1991 through 1999, and been a board member of GBC for many years. I served two terms on the Miles City Unified School Board, coached youth basketball for several years, and have been a board member of the Motor Carriers of Montana for many years, serving as President in 2013. I think it is important to be involved in advocacy groups that represent interests that one has. The world is run by those who show up!

After graduating with a Business Finance degree, I spent a few years working for an investment company in Miles City before joining our family business in 2017.  I have enjoyed this new venture and getting the opportunity to work side by side with both my parents.  An added advantage is the ability it allows me to spend time with my growing family.

I have been married to my husband, Brennan, for four wonderful years.  We have one daughter, Delia, and a second baby expected in July of 2018.  We live out of town where my husband ranches, both managing our expanding cow operation and helping all the neighbors. We are blessed to be able to raise our children in the beautiful badlands of Montana.

When I am not juggling our work-life balance, I love to sing.  I am involved in the Worship Team and choir at Grace Bible church and, when my schedule permits, I enjoy participating in community singing opportunities such as the community choir.  However, some of my favorite singing “gigs” are those in which I am able to perform with my grandma, Hazel Stabler, who is the epitome of a classic country music pianist.

I have been happily married to my wife, Joy, a family nurse practitioner, for over 37 years.  I have two sons that are married to nurses.  I have three grandchildren – one girl and two boys.  They are the best part of life for my wife and myself.  God has been good to our families.

I went to work for A&K Transport in November of 2018 in the Sales department. There is a lot to learn in the transportation industry, but I enjoy learning and as Ken states “You’ve just got to put the puzzle together”.

Our family enjoys snowmobiling at the Big Horn National Forest in Wyoming which, interestingly is at an elevation of 8,350 at the lodge.  We began snowmobiling in 1986 and now take an annual trip every February with sometimes up 22 family and friends.

Outside of work and snowmobiling, I stay active in the community by serving as a council person for the City of Miles City.  This has also been a learning experience for me but also deeply gratifying.  My wife and I are involved in Grace Bible Church here in Miles City serving as organizer for the church greeting program.

Please send us work – we want to have a business relationship.
